Having served as Superintendent of Schools since 2012. Dr. Anthony Mann is an experienced K-12 leader with more than three decades driving for excellence. With experience leading district operations in urban, suburban, and rural communities, he is expert in the K-12 Standard of Care, school and district policy, ethical educator conduct and standards, school safety and systems supporting success for all students.
Dr. Mann holds a Doctorate in Education (D.Ed.) from the University of Oregon and has expertise in:
- School Safety & Student Well-being: Preventing and responding to misconduct, including bullying, harassment and intimidation.
- Educator Misconduct: Sexual misconduct, grooming, failure to protect students from foreseeable harm, abuse and neglect, substance-related misconduct, discrimination, harassment and other investigations.
- Human Resources: Recruiting, training, and evaluating school administrators, educators, and support staff.
- Student Success: Systems to provide for students' social and emotional wellbeing, including school-based mental health and addiction recovery support systems.
- Student Opportunity: Promoting access to quality education and resources that support academic achievement.
- Recovery High Schools & Adolescent Mental Health: Supporting students in recovery from substance use disorders through program development and policy advocacy.
